The following topics are those we feel are the most worthy for discussion at this stage of our development and they are all user friendly and good for the environment. Two offer a chemical free solution to some major problems while the third can assist in a lot of different ways.

DISINFECTION

As our Home Page states we have been striving for a long time to to find products for disinfection that are low on maintenance, economical to operate and works in different environments. We have looked at a number of systems that included, UV, Ozone, Ionisers, Electrocoagulation and Chlorination to name a few. We liked the concept of Ionisers and Electrocoagulation and the way they worked but felt what we looked at fell short of what we were looking for. Neither of these had been tried in the same way and the same applications as we were looking to use them to our knowledge so we started trying new ideas with both systems until we developed what we call the Zapper.

During the testing we have conducted we have used different materials and we have achieved different results. We have learnt that the Zapper will disinfect, remove algae from ponds, dams and creeks and will flock solids in a sewage treament settling process. The big bonus is the cost to operate the unit is so low the replacement anodes cost more than the running cost. Power consumption is around 25 cents per day on full power for our smallest system. This can disinfect effluent at a rate of 60,000 litres per day and flows up to 60 litres per minute.

We have also learnt that we can have an adverse reaction between dissimilar metals, which means, on certain applications we do have to be carefull about material selections. When using copper or other anodes the amount deposited into the water is well below World Health Authorities and Sydney Waters guidelines for drinking water.

We are learning about the Zapper and its applications every day and we will be for a long time to come, however we are aware of different uses and the impending results which means we can do a reasonably accurate selection at this stage and like a lot of systems they may require a little fine tuning to get the end result. We are currently developing larger units which will allow us to do larger applications for all those mentioned above.

SCALECLEAR

This product falls into the same category as the Zapper and it is as economical to run with little or no maintenance requirements it can be used to reduce as well as keep the system free from scale in pipes from 15mm to 300mm. This also applies to cooling towers, boilers, evaporative coolers, etc. It can be used in both commercial and domestic applications and if located near a water meter on a home it will keep the pipes clean not only in the home but prior to the home.

ACTIVATOR

Activator is a safe, non-toxic and completely biodegradable product that is a scientifically developed blend of natural ingredients, grease dispersants and biological stimulants that kills odours on contact, cuts through grime breaks down grease and fat and helps restore and maintain a healthy bacterial balance in septic or sewage systems.

You can clean your home with Ecocare Activator and you can use it in the laundry, kitchen and bathroom to wash down your shower, bath, toilets, shower, basins, tiles, windows and floors etc. There is no waste because when you finish you pour the Activator down the drain and it makes sure the pipes flow free and stay fresh smelling. When used as a general cleaning agent Activator is diluted 5:1 or 10:1 windows 20:1 and floors 40:1. This means that Activator is not only a very versatile product but it is also a very economical product when used in the right way.
